Age requirement and Cost

A contestant must have reached her 8th birthday by June 30, and cannot have reached her 13th birthday by October 31, of the year that the pageant is held.

There is a $50 entry fee per contestant.  At first practice, you can pay with cash, credit/debit card, or a check payable to the Hopkins County Fair.  

Winner will compete at the Miss Pre-Teen Kentucky County Fair pageant in October in Louisville, Kentucky.

Friday, July 28, 2023 – 7:00 pm

Reigning Miss Pre-Teen Hopkins County Molly Spencer will preside over practices and pageant.

To enter the pageant………..

  • We prefer you to click this link to register.  But, if you would rather, you can give us a call.
  • Then, email us a cute, non-professional head-shot (image of the contestant’s face for the website and Facebook).  
  • Bring the entry fee of $50 (check only) with your paperwork (signed contestant agreement and information sheet) to the first practice.
  • Deadline to register is July 13, 2023.

Please write neatly on the information sheet.  It will be read by the emcee during the pageant.

Pageant Practice

Practice is an important process of the pageant. Only two practices are scheduled this year. Please make plans to attend.

What to Wear to Practice 

Dress to practice is casual; however, you may want to bring shoes you will wear in the pageant to practice. 

Practice #1 – Thursday, July 20, 3-5 pm 

  • Entry Fees are due at this time.
  • Parent/legal guardian meeting.
  • Order of appearance will be drawn.
  • Walking on stage and introductions will be presented with time to practice. (Be sure to include the name of sponsor during introduction.) No introductions will be made during evening gown appearance.
  • Miss Congeniality will be explained to contestants.
  • Sample Introduction: “Sponsored by my parents, I am contestant number 7, Hannah Marie Montana.”

Practice #2 – Monday, July 24, 3-5 pm 

  • Professional portrait order forms will be made available.
  • Interview times will be posted.
  • Turns and announcement of winners will be explained.
  • If time allows, the contestant may practice her introduction and walk.
